Yesterday the MPA hosted the USBands Pennsylvania State Championships at Kottmeyer Stadium. We received rave reviews from all involved, including the USBands Executive Director, Sean King, who could not say enough great things about our facilities. Also in attendance to help with the presentation of awards were PA State Representatives Danielle Friel Otten and Dan K. Williams, as well as PA State Senator Carolyn Comitta, who herself is a Downingtown Marching Band alumni. The night was topped off with an incredible performance by the West Chester University Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band. East had a fantastic performance, earning their highest score of the season so far, finishing in 3rd place.. East will be participating in the 2022 Bands of America New Jersey Championships next Saturday, 10/29 at Rutgers University.
